It will completely switch up your water routine. It will make a daily, necessary drink into something exciting and mouthwatering. There are also so many different ways to make delicious water that you are sure to find one that suits your personal tastes perfectly.

So let’s dive into the world of infused waters and start crafting some delicious, easy drinks!

What is Infused Water? It is simply water with fruit or herbs added to it. Rather than blend ingredients into the water, they are left to just sit and marinate in the water, adding flavor slowly but surely. This adds great, subtle flavor to water that makes it interesting and exciting.

How to infuse water?

Infused water is incredibly easy to make. All you really need to do is add your favorite fruits and herbs to a large pitcher and then add water. You can stir a little or muddle a bit to get the fruit juices flowing. After that, all you need to do is wait!

Infused water does need time to, well, infuse. The flavors of the fruit and herbs really need to get into the water so you will need to let the water sit for a little bit. We like to let our water sit for about 2-3 hours in the fridge.

This is plenty of time to make the water flavored but not too long where you need to make the recipe days in advance.

Sure, you can drink infused water right after mixing the fruit and water together. It will immediately have flavor! But take our advice and let the water sit at least for a little bit. You will notice the difference!

The bottom line is if you know how to cut fruit, measure herbs and pour water, then you can make tasty water. Anyone can do it!

đź’ Tips and Tricks

We have some tips and tricks to help you make perfect water. These are just little ways that we have found to make infused water better and easier.

Give our tips a quick glance before you start making one of our delicious recipes.

  1. Remove the fruit from the water after 24 hours and discard. Letting the fruit sit too long can make the water bitter. This is especially true with citrus fruits as the pith of the fruit has a strong, bitter taste that will permeate into the water.
  2. Use fruits that are ripe and sweet. The flavor of the fruit will go directly into the water so the sweeter the fruit, the naturally sweeter the water will be!
  3. Be sure to wash your fruit. Even though you won’t be eating the fruit itself, you will be drinking the water it soaks in. You want to have clean fruit and clean water!
  4. Let the water sit at room temperature for about an hour before moving it to the fridge. The fruit will add more flavor to the water when it is warm.
  5. After your water is infused, use the leftover fruit to make smoothies. It will still have a great flavor!
  6. When using herbs, be sure to just use the leaves and discard the stems. Herbal stems are often bitter which is not a flavor you want in your infused water. The leaves are the most flavorful part!
